Tom M. - Medical Doctor - Diagnostic Radiologist
I have worked with Johnny for 3 years so far. He has very good technique for both deep tissue and traditional massage. Johnny has played a major role in helping me work through neck spasm as well as hip pain and muscle spasm. I play a lot of golf, so low back pain can be a frequent problem. Johnny has really helped me through this problem as well. He operates a very nice studio and workout program. I would highly recommend Bodyworks Fitness to anyone.

Meghan C. - Nutritionalist and Wellness CoachJohnny helped me tremendously when I was experiencing chronic back and neck pain due to a sedentary desk job and long commute. He has a comprehensive knowledge of how the different muscle systems in the body are related and could indicate how trigger points in one area referred pain to another area. Beyond the relief that I received from the massage itself, he was helpful in indicating exercises and postural changes I could do to see continued improvements. I was impressed by Johnny’s professionalism, obvious commitment to excellence in his field and care he extended to each of his clients. I was fortunate to find Johnny when I was looking for a massage therapist and will continue to refer others to him!

Betsey H. - Business Development ManagerJohnny is an incredibly thorough massage therapist with in-depth knowledge of the musculo-skeletal system. Johnny always relieves the pain and tension in the sorest of my muscles, and even identifies and alleviates the trigger points that I do not know exist. The impact of his massages have me feeling looser and more flexible for weeks afterwards. I unreservedly give Johnny and Bodyworks Fitness my highest recommendation!

Peggy R. - Senior VP/HR Manager/Wealth ManagementI have been fitness training with Johnny for 10 years so far, and the results have been outstanding. I have experienced a dramatic transformation of my body’s shape and strength levels. I have received great coaching, motivation and education. I was pushed to do more when I did not think I could. I like how the workouts are often changing, and this keeps me challenged and keeps things exciting!
In the course of my training, I decided (for the 1st time ever!) to run the Kiawah Island Marathon, compete in the Ultimate Runner (a 5 event race), the 18.6 mile Salem Lake Trail Run, and various other races. The neuromuscular therapy on the legs/feet helped greatly as I worked to endure wear and tear, sprinting for the 1 st time, trail running, etc.. The fitness training and running coaching helped me to safely improve my speed to a point that I was able to compete without injury. Johnny trained with me (27 weeks) for the marathon and we completed it together, along with the Trail Run and many other events. |
Loren B. - Graduate AssistantI am so glad a friend recommend Johnny to me! His massages do wonders for working out my chronic trigger points in my neck and shoulders. In his thoroughness, he often finds additional trigger points to work out as well. He is always willing to work on the full body or concentrate on a certain area. He’ll even tell you about what he’s doing and why. Johnny takes pride in continually improving his skills and knowledge. He always seems to have a new technique or knowledge to share. I take pride in recommending Johnny as my one and only “massage guy.”

Jeanne M. - Vice President/Financial Adviser I was overweight, tired, stiff and suffered from back and knee pain. In the 1st 18 months of training, nutrition change and massage therapy - I lost 40 pounds, got relief from lower back pain and stiffness, and been relieved of knee pain that had previously required cortisone shots. I feel so good I almost forget how bad I felt before I started this training. My energy level has increased dramatically and I feel much younger. The results are dramatic when I look back at where I started and it hard to believe I have trained with Johnny for 10 years now.
I appreciate Johnny's knowledge and professionalism but most of all his ability to push - but not too hard to be discouraging. One on one training means you are getting the full attention of the trainer and you are not competing against or discouraged by seeing others who are far ahead of you. I really started at square one but I have come a long way. Thanks to Johnny. |
Carole S. - Senior VP - Learning and DevelopmentJohnny has been my personal trainer for over 5 years. I work out twice a week with him and since I have been training with Johnny I have received many compliments about the changes that have taken place with my body. Scheduling the training with him has helped me to be consistent with my work outs. It is too easy to let work outs slide with a busy work schedule. I also appreciate that every workout is different and that has kept it more interesting.
Johnny has also been my neuromuscular therapist and has helped me with a chronic shoulder problem. He has been supportive by meeting with my Physical Therapist to assure that his work supported the therapist's recommendations. I have had massages from all over the world and have found him to be the most knowledgeable and best therapist that I have ever experienced. I have referred several friends and acquaintances who have said they have found him to be the best. |
Fanny S. - Owner/Partner of marketing and public-relations companyTwo years ago after, just after crossing the 50-year-old yard line, my butt was spreading out comfortably at the top of my legs. The backs of my arms had begun to flap whenever a strong breeze blew by. My neck was chronically stiff and periodically spastic. I had trouble starting my lawnmower. And, my doctor told me I was on the borderline for osteoporosis.
I needed to do something! But I was really pressed for time. I lacked the motivation and discipline to do the "gym thing." Plus, I wanted more than the usual gym approach: "Here's our facility and equipment, sign this contact for a year, now you're on your own." My friend's recommendation of Johnny was serendipity. Now my 30-something coworkers tell me I'm "hot." I can actually turn my neck to the right for more than two inches. My doctor laughs at the mention of osteoporosis. And, if my lawnmower won't start, it's because it's out of gas - not because I'm out of muscle! Johnny Moser is a super trainer. He listens to you, analyzes your condition, makes a plan, then works the plan with you. He is also an unusually skilled and gifted neuromuscular therapist. But that's not all that has impressed me. He's a learner, who is constantly researching new techniques and figuring out how they can apply to me. And that makes him the best trainer and neuromuscular therapist I have ever known. |
Marsha C. - Former Teacher & Real Estate BrokerAfter much time and research into the world of personal trainers, I found one that offered much more than an “ hour work out three times a week.” Johnny quickly and accurately assessed my fitness level, devised a plan just for me and got started. Instantly I felt better about my health and my goals-- he monitored me every step of the way and encouraged me by offering incentives…reading materials, nutritional plans, alternative exercises to do at home. Whatever my needs were, he found the way to address them. He analyzed my strengths and weaknesses and worked to improve both.
Johnny has a multi-faceted personality. His interests are so varied that he met me on many levels; the work out time seemed to go so fast. Ask a question and he will diligently work to find the answer. He saw me as a person not as a time slot for training. Personally, I needed the strength training to prevent injuries, build bone mass, tone and feel that at any age, I am working to be the best I can be. A firm but compassionate taskmaster, Johnny relieved my lower back pain through neuromuscular therapy, stretching and strength training. I now have overall body strength I have never had. He will run races with me, find exercise equipment for my home gym and even recommend businesses to fit my feet for running shoes. In all, he addresses me as the unique person I am—without judgment and with honesty. Johnny is a seeker. He wants to be the best and the most knowledgeable in his field--through neuromuscular training, to fitness assessments, he is unequaled. He personifies the term, personal trainer… and I am the fortunate benefactor. Anyone who trains with him will, in the long run, be a winner! |
Cathy R. - Director of Customer ServiceI have been training with Johnny twice a week for close to one year. The results of this effort have been incredible!! The flab has turned to muscle, the weak arms are now strong, and my clothes have never looked better! Co-workers began noticing the increased tone in my arms after only 3 months of training. Given that I am by nature a coach potato, this is no small feat!
Not only is Johnny a terrific fitness trainer, but also a fabulous Neuromuscular Therapist. I went from jogging 2 miles to 3 immediately after my first session. I highly recommend the Bodyworks Fitness System to anyone who is ready to do something wonderful for themselves. To the already “in shape” folks to the coach potatoes like me! You can do it….I did!! |
