"I have been in the Army Reserves for over 30 years. It has been a requirement of the job to be physically fit in able to do the job that being a Soldier requires. I think this motivated me to do my best and to find innovative and creative ways to keep myself challenged. Being a Chief Warrant Officer 4, I have been a leader to many young and old Soldiers along the way motivating them to work harder and achieve more than just what is required.
I recently scored 300 on the physical fitness test which is 100 in each event (push-ups, sit-ups, two mile run) and won the Fitness Badge for Excellence which few can accomplish. This inspires and set the example for my fellow Soldiers to do the same. By having this experience and lifestyle, I have grown to love working with people to help them become and stay motivated in order to have a better quality of life and to have high self esteem.
I have challenged myself with a 5K, 10K, ½ marathon, marathon (26 miles), white water rafting, kayaking, hiking in the mountains, and teaching classes in aerobics and cardiotone. I came in 1st in my age group in two 5K races. As an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, I bring my skills and expertise together to provide my clients with challenging and motivating workouts to become their very best in all that they do."
